SCHNEERSOHN, family of ḥasidic leaders; descendants of the ẓaddik Shneur Zalman of Lyady, the founder of Chabad Ḥasidism (popularly known as lubavitch ). (See Chart: Schneersohn Family ). For details see shneur zalman of Lyady.
